What can The NEPS Centre do for me?

The NEPS Centre is a specialised employment service working with people affected by mental illness. That means we can help you work through the challenges of getting ready to approach the job market, develop some skills you may need to be successful in your job search, help you find work and keep it!

How do I find NEPS?

Who can use the services that NEPS provides?

NEPS receives funding from a variety of sources. In order to receive services
you must be eligible for the program according to its guidelines

Specialised employment services are funded by the Commonwealth Department of Employment and Workplace Relations [DEWR] to help people with disabilities find work.

Occupational Rehabilitation is funded by employers or insurance companies. It helps people who are having difficulty at work because of mental health issues

 
The Personal Support Program [PSP] [delivered by OSTARA Australia, funded by DEWR] has been developed to assist people who are experiencing difficulty accessing the labour market, by helping them to link to the services they need.

I haven't worked in a long time, will I be able to find suitable work?

The NEPS Centre works with each person individually to develop the skills he/she might need in finding a job. Sometimes work experience or a volunteer position helps people to get back into the swing of working, and other times people are ready to begin job search right away. Whatever your situation, the NEPS Centre can help you rebuild your confidence and your resume and find employment that suits you.

NEPS' services are free of charge both to the individual and to the employer.
